Actor Sylvester Madu denies selling Okrika

Nollywood actor, Sylvester Madu, aka Shina Rambo, has denied selling okrika (second-hand clothes).

Media Talk Africa recalls that a viral video from 2023 showed the actor selling clothes on the floor of a market in Enugu, which sparked rumours that he was selling okrika.

In a recent interview with media personality Patience Yisa, Madu denied being an Okrika dealer. He explained that the fact that the clothes he was filmed selling were on the floor does not necessarily mean they are second-hand.

He stated that he imports brand-new clothes from the United States and has multiple shops being managed by his workers.

He added that he decided to also assist in sales because he dislikes idleness.

Madu said, “First of all, I don’t sell okrika. Those clothes I was filmed selling are not necessarily okrika because they were on the floor. I don’t sell okrika. I import from I sell from the U.S.

“I have multiple shops and I have boys who sell for me. I don’t do big man, I go to the field to sell by myself. I have a lot of people selling for me. I have different shops. I monitor my business. I have been doing this business for over 30 years.”
