Liverpool have confirmed that former manager Jurgen Klopp will make an emotional return to the club in May.
Klopp will be in attendance for the LFC Foundation’s Annual Gala on May 23.
The German, who is now working as Red Bull’s global head of soccer, has been invited as a guest speaker in his first appearance as an honorary ambassador since leaving.
Tickets are already on sale for the event, which takes place two days before the final match of the season against Crystal Palace, a fixture at Anfield which he could attend.
“Everyone knows how much I love the work of the LFC Foundation and I can’t wait to join them to celebrate that work and help to raise important funds for them to continue the incredible things they are doing,” Klopp said.
Matt Parish, chief executive of the LFC Foundation, added: “Jurgen was a fantastic advocate for our work during his time at the club and we appreciate his ongoing support and hope as many people as possible can join us.”
