The Katsina State Police Command has arrested two suspected car thieves and rejected a ₦1 million bribe allegedly offered by the suspects to evade arrest.

According to a statement released on Wednesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, the suspects — 26-year-old Mubarak Kabir and 27-year-old Adamu Hashim, both from Kurna quarters in Fagge Local Government Area, Kano State — were apprehended by officers on routine patrol along Birnin Kuka village in Mashi Local Government Area on April 11, 2025.

The suspects were found driving a green Toyota Corolla LE, which was later determined to have been stolen from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
