Bandits kill businessman, abduct one in attack on Kano night market

A group of armed bandits launched a deadly attack on Faruruwa town in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State on Thursday night, killing a prominent businessman, injuring two others, and abducting one person.
The incident occurred while the town’s popular night market was in full swing.

The attack was contained in a post on Friday by a security analyst, Bakatsine, on X.

“Last night, bandits attacked Faruruwa town in Shanono LGA of Kano State. They killed a well-known businessman, Alhaji Rabilu, injured two people and abducted one person. The attack happened while the town’s night market was underway,” he wrote.

The Kano State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
