Easter: Benue CP assures residents of adequate security

Benue State Commissioner of Police, Mr Steve Yabanet has reassured Benue residents of the command’s commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment throughout the Easter period and beyond.

He said this in an Easter goodwill message issued on his behalf by the Spokesperson of the State Police Command, CSP, Catherine Anene.

Yabanet through the message felicitated with the residents as they joined Christians worldwide in the celebration of Easter.

He directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders to provide adequate security around churches and event centers.

He emphasized the need to intensify patrols and surveillance to prevent breakdown of law and order.

“Members of the public are advised to cooperate with the police and other security agencies to as they go about securing there communities.

“The good people of Benue State are encouraged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies around them,” Yabanet said.
