Cubana Chief Priest bounced at 17th Headies Awards

Celebrity entrepreneur and socialite Cubana Chief Priest was left humiliated after being denied entry to the 17th Headies Awards at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

The incident occurred due to his lack of an invitation card, sparking mixed reactions online.

In a viral video posted by rommiroyal TV on tiktok, Cubana Chief Priest was seen arguing with security personnel at the entrance, attempting to gain access to the event.

Despite his large life and connections to top artists, including being close friends with Davido, he wasn’t exempted from the strict invitation protocol.

The Headies ceremony was attended by prominent personalities including Lagos governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Juma Jux, Nancy Isime and Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan.

Notable winners include Odumodublvck, Late Mohbad, Davido, Tems and Rema.

Cubana Chief Priest’s travail at the event has sparked debate online, with some defending the bouncers for following instructions and others questioning why he didn’t receive an invite.
