During his initial interrogation, Babari disclosed that he was traveling from Maikatako, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, to Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State. Further investigation revealed that he had indeed been contracted as a fighter for a two-month period, allegedly by the aforementioned Isah, whose full identity remains unknown.
The police spokesperson assured the public that Babari is currently in custody, along with the seized items, as the authorities continue to investigate the source and intended use of the weapon. The command has reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and preventing the spread of illegal firearms in the state.
