2027 indigenous governor advocate Dallah apologises to APC chairman over false allegation

Comrade Kabiru Ibrahim Dallah, a prominent advocate for the emergence of an indigenous governor in Nasarawa State come 2027, has tendered a public apology to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, Aliyu Bello (Sardauna Adogi), over a false allegation recently leveled against him.

Dallah made the apology on Monday during a courtesy visit to the APC State Secretariat in Lafia, just a day after he was released from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The activist had, over a week ago, accused Dr. Bello of allegedly sidelining the APC youth leader, Comrade Abdullahi Ahmad Mohammed, and preventing him from accessing Governor Abdullahi Sule.

He has since retracted the statement, admitting it was both inaccurate and inappropriate.

“I now understand that my statement constituted an incursion into his personal and party affairs, especially as I am not a member of the APC,” Dallah stated in an earlier Facebook post.

He clarified that the comment, though made in what he claimed was “good faith and in the spirit of friendship,” misrepresented the actual situation and was, therefore, regrettable.

Dallah also pledged to desist from interfering in the internal matters of the APC moving forward, reaffirming his respect for the party’s leadership and internal processes.

The APC has not issued an official statement on the matter, but sources at the party secretariat described the visit and apology as “a step toward reconciliation and mutual respect.”
