Rwanda Energy Group Women’s Basketball Team Continues Unbeaten Streak with Dominant Win

In a thrilling display of skill and teamwork, the Rwanda Energy Group (REG) women’s basketball club has maintained its lead at the top of the table with a resounding 129-35 victory over UR Kigali at Petit Stade on Wednesday. This impressive win marks the team’s 13th consecutive victory, solidifying their position as the only unbeaten side in the women’s league.

Power Forward Sandrine Mushikiwabo was instrumental in the team’s success, scoring an impressive 33 points, while Jordan Umuhoza added 15 points to the tally. The team’s dominance was evident from the outset, with REG winning the first two quarters 37-11 and 37-5, respectively, to take a commanding 58-point lead at the break.

The second half saw the team continue to assert their dominance, with a well-organized defensive strategy that limited UR Kigali’s scoring opportunities.
