With this technical foul, Green is now just two away from an automatic one-game suspension, and he also has two flagrant fouls this postseason, which could trigger another suspension if he accumulates two more.
The loss of Curry to a sprained left ankle for at least a week makes Green’s presence on the court even more critical. Despite his poor shooting (3-for-10), Green contributed nine points, five assists, and four rebounds in Game 2. Warriors coach Steve Kerr addressed Green’s outburst, expressing confidence in his ability to stay composed under pressure. Kerr noted, "He’s going to have to stay composed, obviously we need him, and I’m confident that he will because he knows the circumstances." Kerr acknowledged that Green’s intensity is a double-edged sword, driving him to be a fierce competitor but sometimes leading him to cross the line.
