Europe Day: EU unveiling €300m worth of new projects in Nigeria — Ambassador Mignot

European Union Ambassador to Nigeria, Gautier Mignot, said the EU is unveiling new projects worth €300 million in Nigeria’s North-West and North-East in the coming months of 2025.

He disclosed this in his speech at this year’s Europe Day celebration held in Abuja on Friday.

According to him, the project is part of the EU Global Gateway strategy to offer more opportunities to Nigerians, particularly women and youth.

He emphasised the EU’s commitment to partnership and investment in Nigeria.

“For this dream to come true, we need to work together, and you, Nigerians, have a major role to play in Africa and in the world.

“Since my arrival last September, I see daily and concrete progress in our partnership, in particular through the roll-out of our EU Global Gateway strategy to offer more opportunities to the people and especially the women and the youth, or through the €300M of new projects that we are launching this year in the NW and NE of the country,” he stated.

Media Talk Africa reports that Europe Day is celebrated across the world to mark the EU’s 75 years of unity and cooperation.
