LP crisis: We will yield our platform to Otti – YPP

A chieftain of the Young Progressive Party, YPP, Bestman Eruba has said that his party will yield the party’s platform for Governor Alex Otti to use in contesting for the second term if the crises in the LP persists.

According to Eruba, Otti’s leadership style and policies aligned with the objectives of the YPP and could earn him the party’s automatic ticket in 2027.

In a statement he issued, Eruba said that no conspiracy by individuals or groups against Governor Otti should be allowed to derail his focus.

He also predicted that Otti will record a landslide victory in 2027, based on what he called “tangible score card” across the State.

“We will yield the YPP platform for Governor Alex Otti whenever he needs political refuge.

“He has shown remarkable leadership and excellence in service with a performance record that is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.

“His style, projects, programmes and policies align with the objectives of our party.

“The Young Progressives Party will therefore not hesitate to offer him our gubernatorial ticket in 2027 as a veritable platform to consolidate on his agenda to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people.”

Eruba continued: “Otti is working and the only platform that will guarantee sustenance of his remarkable career in public life is the Young Progressives Party where our mantra is service to the people. “We have the reach and we have severally shown that we can accommodate ourselves and fix the broken pieces of our relationship.

YPP is your home, come and coast to victory in 2027.”

Media Talk Africa recalls that the guber candidate of the YPP in the 2023 election, Enyinnaya Nwafor recently announced his support for Governor Otti.

Nwafor came third in Abia 2023 election behind Governor Alex Otti of LP and Okey Ahaiwe of the PDP.

His party, YPP, swept the Osisioma area of the State, winning two House of Assembly seats, even though the two Lawmakers have now joined the LP.

YPP also won two chairmanship seats during the November 2, 2024 Abia State local government election.
