In a significant move to bolster the fight against crime, Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Miller Dantawaye, has urged newly graduated officers to prioritize professionalism, commitment, and improved service delivery. This charge was given during the graduation ceremony of Course Seven from the ongoing in-house Refresher Training, held in Lokoja. The Commissioner’s emphasis on upholding these values underscores the importance of a competent and dedicated police force in maintaining public safety and security.
According to SP William Ovye Aya, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, Commissioner Dantawaye highlighted the critical role of improved mental capacity and weapons handling in sustaining the ongoing efforts against criminal elements in the state. The Commissioner encouraged the newly graduated officers to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their intensive one-week training to enhance service delivery in their respective areas of deployment.
