Yul Edochie mourns deaths of cinematographers

Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Yul Edochie has mourned the tragic loss of two young cinematographers, Johnson and Gozman, who tragically died in a car accident on Port Harcourt Road.

Reports indicate that the duo were returning from a colleague’s wedding when the fatal crash occurred.

Their untimely deaths add to the string of recent tragic losses that have shaken Nigeria’s film industry.

In his reaction on Instagram, Yul Edochie posted a candlelight image as a tribute to the late cinematographers.

He described the recent wave of sudden deaths in Nollywood as deeply heartbreaking and offered prayers for strength and comfort to the grieving families.

“Too many untimely deaths in Nollywood. Really sad. R.I.P. to our fallen brothers. May God grant your families the strength to bear this painful loss,” he wrote.

Nollywood is in mourning as this came after the recent loss of Nkechi Nweje and Columbus Irisoanga a respected actor and academic.

His passing was announced by fellow actress, Hilda Dokubo, who described the loss as deeply painful.
