As the Nigerian Air Force celebrates its 61st anniversary, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has issued a rallying call to troops to remain focused and resolute in their mission to secure the nation. The CAS urged personnel to maintain high levels of vigilance and not lose sight of their ultimate goal: defending Nigeria and protecting its citizens.
During an operational visit to frontline troops in Katsina, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, reiterated the importance of maintaining the tempo of operations and intensifying efforts to restore enduring peace and security nationwide. The CAS reaffirmed that Nigerian Air Force platforms remain fully deployed across all theatres of operation, emphasizing the force’s commitment to its constitutional mandate.
“Nigerians can be rest assured that we remain fully committed to our constitutional mandate,” Air Marshal Abubakar said. “We will continue to give our very best in defence of our nation.” He emphasized that while significant gains have been made, the fight is far from over, and it is essential to consolidate and intensify air strikes against terrorists, insurgents, and bandits.
The CAS reassured Nigerians of the Air Force’s unwavering commitment to national security, stating, “Even as we mark 61 years of dedicated service, we must give our fellow countrymen more reasons to hope—more victories that reassure them that their Air Force remains alert, ready, and determined to defeat all enemies of peace.”
As part of a broader strategy to restore peace and stability across troubled regions, Air Marshal Abubakar interacted with troops at the operational base, inspected facilities, and assessed the state of deployed platforms. This visit underscores the leadership’s commitment to troop welfare, operational effectiveness, and frontline engagement. With the Nigerian Air Force’s 61st anniversary serving as a milestone, the force remains dedicated to its mission, and its personnel are poised to continue playing a critical role in securing the nation and protecting its citizens.
