LG Election: Niger Governor Bago pledges support for APC candidate in Chanchaga LGA

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has promised to support Dr Mustapha Jibrin, the All Progressives Congress, APC, flag bearer for the Chanchaga Local Government Council in the forthcoming council elections.

The governor made this promise during a courtesy visit by Dr Jibrin and his team to the liaison office in Abuja.

While congratulating Dr Jibrin on his emergence as the APC candidate, he described it as a testament to his commitment and perseverance.

He acknowledged the complexities and challenges facing Chanchaga Local Government, including security issues, social menaces, and sanitation problems. However, he expressed confidence in Dr Jibrin’s ability to address these challenges.

The governor advised Jibrin to develop innovative solutions for the council, enabling him to hit the ground running upon election.

Speaking, Dr Jibrin, in turn, thanked the governor for his stewardship and support in his selection as the APC consensus candidate while pledging to promote unity and complement the governor’s efforts if elected.

He also highlighted his efforts to build peace and unity within the party and among stakeholders in Chanchaga Local Government.

“No petitions were filed against him since his selection, indicating widespread acceptance, ” he stated..

Also, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Hadi Garkuwa Saidu, commended the governor’s efforts in improving the state and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting his administration.
