The naira appreciated significantly against the dollar at both the official and parallel foreign exchange markets to end the week on a positive note.
The Central Bank of Nigeria exchange rate data showed that the naira strengthened to N1,580.44 per dollar on Friday from N1,584.95 traded on Thursday.
This means that the Naira gained N4.51 against the dollar on a day-to-day basis.
Similarly, the naira appreciated by N10 to N1615 per dollar at the black market on Friday from N1625 recorded on Thursday.
This indicates that the margin between the naira and the dollar at both FX markets now stands at N34.56 as of the close of work on Friday.
