Pop superstar Rihanna will perform at the Oscars next month, organizers announced on Thursday, just weeks after her highly anticipated, visibly pregnant return at the Super Bowl. The Barbados‑born singer will present her Academy Award‑nominated song “Lift Me Up” from *Black Panther: Wakanda Forever* at the film industry’s premier awards show in Hollywood. The track competes with Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from *Top Gun: Maverick* and the current frontrunner “Naatu Naatu” from the Indian hit *RRR*.

Rihanna, 35, had not performed live in seven years before delivering a career‑spanning medley of hits at the NFL’s flagship halftime show earlier this month. Since then, she has focused on her successful makeup, lingerie, and high‑fashion brands—ventures that have helped make her a billionaire—as well as raising her first child, a son born in May. Her baby bump dominated conversation at the Super Bowl, and representatives confirmed shortly after the show that she is pregnant with her second child. However, fans hoping for a preview of the album she has been teasing for years were left disappointed.

“Lift Me Up” marks Rihanna’s first Oscar nomination. The nine‑time Grammy winner, who boasts eight multi‑platinum albums, will appear at the 95th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre on March 12.
