Another Palestinian, Saleh Abu Najjar, described the situation as "very dangerous" and said people were frightened. Despite the chaos, a few individuals managed to secure aid boxes containing basic items like sugar, flour, and pasta, but the vast majority left empty-handed.
GHF spokespersons claimed that staff followed safety protocols, falling back to allow the crowds to dissipate before resuming operations. The group, which uses armed private contractors to guard its hubs and supplies, maintained that no shots were fired from their side. However, the incident highlights the dire situation in Gaza, where desperation and frustration are boiling over.
