NNPCL disowns financial, poverty alleviation scheme video online

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has disowned a financial and poverty alleviation scheme making the round on social media.

NNPCL’s spokeperson, Olufemi Soneye made this clarification in a statement released on company’s X on Thursday.

The clarification comes amid a purported video titled, ‘NNPCL and Government Back Bayo Ojulari’s Financial Safety Plan” making the rounds on Facebook, shared originally by an account named, Mensageiro de Cristo.

But the NNPCL warned that it has no such investment initiative and urged the public to disregard the video.

NNPCL described the video as a fake AI-generated content with a cloned voice of its Group Chief Executive Officer, Bayo Ojulari.

The company clarified it has no such investment initiative and urged the public to disregard the video.
