Pastor Kumuyi Seeks Revenge Against the Devil After Wife’s Death

Pastor Kumuyi reveals he's on revenge mission against devil after wife's death

Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has revealed that his wife’s passing has fueled a profound mission – to take revenge against the devil. This journey of revenge, he claims, has been underway since the death of his wife, Abiodun Kumuyi, who passed away in April 2009 at the age of 57.

Kumuyi, who remarried in October 2010, asserts that his travels have become more extensive since her death. He recounts that the devil took advantage of his absence from home, and it was during one of his preachings at Faith Clinic that he received the news of her passing. This pivotal moment, Kumuyi believes, marked the beginning of a new phase in his ministry, one defined by the concept of “revenge” against the forces he believes were responsible for her death.

Speaking at the Global Workers’ Conference, Kumuyi elaborated on the scope of his revenge mission. “Since the time of her death, for me to revenge on the devil, I have gone to many places since she left,” he explained. His efforts have been nothing short of ambitious, covering most local governments in Nigeria, nearly all nations in Africa, and extending to all continents of the world. This extensive travel and outreach, Kumuyi believes, are a direct response to the loss he suffered, turning his grief into a global ministry of redemption and salvation.

Kumuyi’s words and actions reflect a deep-seated belief in the power of faith and ministry as a means to counter adversity. By framing his missionary work as an act of revenge against the devil, he underscores the thematic struggle between good and evil, with his wife’s death serving as a catalyst for his renewed efforts. This narrative not only speaks to the personal resilience of Pastor Kumuyi but also highlights the complexities of faith, loss, and the human response to tragedy.

In essence, Pastor Kumuyi’s story is one of transformation and determination, illustrating how profound personal loss can sometimes become the foundation for broader missions and a deeper commitment to one’s beliefs. As he continues his global ministry, his message of resilience and the power of faith in the face of adversity resonates with people from all walks of life, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries.
