Gov Adeleke not defecting to any party, he remains in PDP – Spokesperson

Gov Adeleke vows action over Ilesa jailbreak

Spokesperson to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, Olawale Rasheed has said he is not defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC, or any other political party.

Rasheed also said Governor Adeleke remained a bonafide member and leader of the PDP in the state.

Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson made this known through a statement obtained by Media Talk Africa in Osogbo on Wednesday.

Rasheed also faulted media speculations of his imminent defection to the APC.

He said, “The media speculation about likely or imminent defection is fake news. Governor Adeleke remains a member and leader of the PDP in Osun s]State.

“The visit by the Adeleke dynasty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a routine courtesy visit. Any reading of defection agenda into the visit is mere fake news,” the statement clarified.

Media Talk Africa had earlier reported that former Osun House of Assembly Speaker, Timothy Owoeye stated that Governor Adeleke is not welcomed in Osun APC.

Owoeye also claimed that the governorship ticket of the Osun APC is not for sale to the Adeleke family.
