Afrobeat singer Davido has mocked the immediate past Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye, over his controversial remark.

This comes hours after the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, visited President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday, amid the ongoing local government elections crisis in his state.

It was reported that the Osun local government allocations have been withheld since February 2025, following the election crisis between the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

However, in a new development on Wednesday, President Tinubu hosted the governor alongside his elder brother, Dr Adedeji Adeleke, and singer Davido in Lagos State.

The development sparked speculation of an alleged defection deal between President Tinubu and Governor Adeleke.

Rejecting the alleged deal, Hon. Timothy Owoeye, during a press conference in Osogbo on Wednesday, stated, “Adeleke family is not welcome in the APC. There is no space for PDP and Adeleke in APC.”

However, reacting to Owoeye’s remark on X, Davido took to the comment section to mock him.

The singer wrote, “No be this guy naked for bush?”

Media Talk Africa reports that in 2018, Owoeye was apprehended naked in a viral video on the internet, while performing some ritual activities in the middle of the night.
