Laide Bakare denies mocking Biola Bayo over crashed marriage

Popular Nigerian actress, Laide Bakare, has denied shading her colleague, Biola Bayo over her failed marriage.

Media Talk Africa reports that Bakare had shared a video of her dancing on Instagram page.

She captioned the post with a cryptic message often used by Nigerians on social media to refer to relationship failure or heartbreak.

“All of us will eat breakfast. Asiko lo ma ya to. Good morning people,” she captioned the video.

The post which came amid Biola Bayo’s divorce announcement sparked criticism from netizens.

However, speaking amid the backlash, Bakare denied mocking Biola Bayo, noting that it was just a coincidence.

While expressing her support for Biola in a new video posted on Friday, she said, “Bad commenters and trolls associations, something must be wrong with you.

“Please let us all be guided. It is still June 5th here in California to be precise. I can never shade my own sister Biola Bayo. My prayers are with you. I didn’t get any updates. I was busy with my daughter’s graduation. Trolls are evil.”
