The naira has continued its appreciation streak against the dollar at the official market on Wednesday.

According to Central Bank of Nigeria exchange rate data, the Naira strengthened further to N1,539.72 against the Dollar on Wednesday from N1,540.04 on Tuesday.

This means that it appreciated slightly by N0.32 on a day-to-day basis compared to N1,540.04 exchanged the previous day.

Meanwhile, at the black market, the Naira remained flat at N1607 per dollar on Wednesday, the same exchange rate as Tuesday.

DAILY reports on Tuesday that the naira appreciated N13 and N3 against the dollar across foreign exchange markets.

CBN governor Olayemi Cardoso had attributed the relative stability of the naira to the apex bank’s reforms.

Earlier, Media Talk Africa reports that CBN extended the recapitalization deadline for Bureau De Change Operators by six months.
