In a significant ceremony held in Manchok, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani formally presented the staff of office to Ishaku Tagwai Sambo, marking his inauguration as the 5th Chief of Moro’a, a prestigious First Class Chiefdom in the state. This momentous occasion follows Sambo’s confirmation as the rightful successor to his late father, Chief Tagwai Sambo, who had a remarkable 58-year reign until his passing in 2021.
Governor Sani, addressing the gathered crowd, emphasized the importance of leadership with fairness and compassion, highlighting that Sambo’s appointment is not only a responsibility entrusted by the people but also endorsed by the state’s laws. He praised the late Chief Tagwai Sambo, saying, “You are succeeding a colossus, the late Chief Tagwai Sambo, your father, who reigned for 58 remarkable years and was known for peace, patience, and purpose.” The governor’s words underscored the legacy that the new chief is expected to uphold and build upon.
Furthermore, Governor Sani called upon the residents of the Chiefdom to extend their support to the new traditional ruler, emphasizing that his administration views traditional institutions as vital stakeholders in the pursuit of peace, security, and development.
