We will remove Tinubu in 2027 – Ex- Presidential aide

A former Senior Special Adviser on Public Affairs to President Bola Tinubu, Aliyu Audu, has opened up on why he left the APC-led administration ahead of 2027 elections.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Audu explained that his decision was based on his resolve to fight Tinubu re-election bid, adding that this is to achieve a more inclusive and accountable Nigeria.

He faulted the Tinubu-led administration for allegedly prioritising self interest against national unity.

Audu also accused the government of neglecting all campaign promises made to Nigerians before 2023 polls.

“I think it’s a matter of principle and living for something greater than oneself. It’s about believing that Nigeria is not beyond fixing. It’s about knowing what loyalty is, to what and to whom loyalty should be absolute.”

Referencing Tinubu’s political past, particularly his opposition to former President, Olusegun  Obasanjo’s stronghold on the Southwest during the 2000s, Audu accused the current president of now engaging in similar tactics.

He vowed that they will remove President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 and install a leader chosen by the people.
