APC set for Tinubu, Ganduje’s visit to Akwa Ibom Saturday as party receives Eno formally

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Akwa Ibom State has concluded arrangement to welcome President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje and all APC governors into the state for reception of Gov Umo Eno into the party.

A Chieftain of APC, Senator Ita Enang, disclosed this in a press briefing in Uyo on Friday.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Azare, had during a press conference on Thursday, assured a security beef up in the state for the exercise on Saturday, even as warned criminal elements to steer clear of the state.

Enang, a former Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly and Niger Delta Affairs stated that necessary modalities have been put in place to ensure a hitch free exercise.

He also assured the governor and all the delegation coming to the APC that the party would receive them with open arms.

He noted that the coming of the governor into APC is a merger, where the State would benefit when both strengths come together.

“Let me add to all the assurances that we have given to the Governor and the entire delegation that are joining us that we will keep and honour all agreement and work with them to ensure that they understand and assimilate into the progressive ideas of the APC.

“Again, we will also work with them to ensure that programmes and projects of the state government and all actions of the state government are accord with the ideals and manifesto of APC because this is what has won us into the heart of the people,” he noted.
