Atiku, Amaechi: I’m advocating that coalition adopt SDP – El-Rufai speaks amid ADA’s registration

Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Monday declared that the Social Democratic Party, SDP, is the best party for the opposition coalition.

El-Rufai said he is currently advocating that the coalition adopt the SDP due to its history and legacy.

He disclosed this while featuring on Arise Television’s Prime Time show.

“I strongly believe that the SDP is the best platform for a coalition; its history, its legacy, its sentimental value, and everything about it are almost perfect, the name, the logo, and I’m advocating for that among my colleagues,” El-Rufai said.

There are claims that the coalition might adopt the proposed All Democratic Alliance (ADA).

Last week, revelations emerged that ADA had applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission for registration.

The coalition is currently spearheaded by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, El-Rufai, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, and other eminent politicians.
