Tinubu could make me dump APC – Ndume

2027: I don't want to jump from frying pan to fire - Ndume speaks on joining coalition

Borno South Senator, Ali Ndume, has claimed that he could leave the All Progressives Congress, APC, if President Bola Tinubu does not fix things in Nigeria.

Ndume made these remarks on Tuesday, while making an appearance on Arise TV.

The lawmaker has publicly criticized Tinubu’s government in recent months, demanding better governance from this administration.

He has now threatened to dump the APC if the president doesn’t fix the many problems of the country.

“If I decide to leave the APC, I will not to hide it.

“I still believe President Tinubu can fix things. Failure to fix those things may cause me to leave the APC,” Ndume said.

Ndume also warned that too many defections to APC could be dangerous for the ruling party.

“If Tinubu continues this way, it doesn’t matter if he loads more people or governors, you are just endangering APC.

“When you overload a ship, it might lead to the capsizing of the party.”
