ADA: Jigawa PDP joins coalition, inaugurates committes

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Jigawa State has set up state and local government committees for the joining coalition movement, All Democratic Alliance, ADA.

State Coordinating Committee Chairman, Aminu Abdullahi Taura, stated this while speaking to newsmen shortly after inaugurating the 27 local government coordinating committees held in Dutse.

He said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Jigawa State is getting itself ready to join the coalition movement.

Taura explained that the decision followed wider consultations and discussions with relevant stakeholders in the state aimed at terminating the ruling party in the coming 2027 general elections.

According to him, “We met and inaugurated the state coordinating committee to oversee the process. We also inaugurated the same committee at the local government level.”

“The local government committees will also go to wards and polling units to ensure proper coordination of the process at the grassroots.”

Media Talk Africa reported that the former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, said he will be part of any movement that may end the APC’s administration.

The chairman noted that the party leadership under Sule Lamido is holding meetings with the coalition movement on how to end the APC government.

He therefore urged party members to remain united and wait for further directives.
