2027: We’re ready to join coalition to unseat APC – Kebbi PDP

Nasarawa PDP leadership extends olive branch to Onawo group after Appeal Court victory

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kebbi State has declared its readiness to join a broader coalition aimed at unseating the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, at both the state and national levels.

The declaration was made on Saturday during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Birnin Kebbi, where party leaders reaffirmed their commitment to revitalizing the PDP and resolving internal disputes hindering its progress.

State party chairman, Dr. Ibrahim Mera, who addressed journalists after the meeting, said the PDP had resolved to support any political alliance capable of effectively challenging the APC’s dominance. He added that members also agreed to advocate for the early conduct of the state congress, subject to approval from the party’s national leadership.

Mera urged Kebbi residents to remain hopeful despite the prevailing economic hardship, assuring that relief would come with the emergence of credible leadership.

Also speaking at the gathering, the PDP’s 2023 gubernatorial candidate, General Aminu Bande (rtd), criticized the APC-led administration for exacerbating the economic situation in the state.

He accused the government of witch-hunting opposition figures instead of focusing on governance.
