The All Progressives Congress, APC, has responded to reports that President Bola Tinubu may have been unhappy with former Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, who recently resigned as the party’s National Chairman.
There were reports that the President might not have been happy with Ganduje, leading to his resignation.
Speaking with Channels Television on Sunday, Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC spokesman said such claims were speculative.
According to him, it is left for President Bola Tinubu to speak on the matter concerning Ganduje whenever he wishes to do so.
“The President is at liberty to speak at any moment on any issue. He has not spoken, so people will speculate. But we cannot act based on speculation,” he said.
Media Talk Africa reported that the APC spokesman, Morka, had last week, announced the resignation of Ganduje.
According to the statement, the resignation of the party Chairmen took effect immediately.
The reason provided by the party for the former Governor’s resignation was that he was stepping down to attend to “urgent and important personal matters.”
