2027: I’ll accept coalition’s offer to serve one term, hand over to North – Peter Obi

Benue, Kogi, Taraba killings: We can't continue like this, bloodshed must end - Peter Obi

Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, has claimed he would honour any coalition agreement which could require that he serves a single term and hand over to the North in 2031.

According to Obi, he is not desperate for power and is more interested in character and integrity.

He stated this while speaking during a Space session on X, formerly Twitter, tagged #PeterObiOnParallelFacts.

The session attracted over 10,000 live participants and almost 3,000 audience comments.

“If the agreement is one term, I will leave on May 28, 2031 — not even May 29.

“I am not desperate to be president.

“I am desperate to see Nigeria work,” Obi said, in response to a question from a user named Balactic.

Obi also noted that upholding zoning and respecting any agreement within the coalition reflects political maturity.
