Kano State Governor Appoints 11 New Special Advisers

In a significant move to bolster his administration, the governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has given the green light for the appointment of eleven new Special Advisers. This development was made public through a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin Tofa, on Saturday. The newly appointed advisers bring a wealth of expertise from diverse professional backgrounds, and they are expected to leverage their skills to support the administration’s policies and programs.

The list of appointed Special Advisers includes notable figures such as Prof. Abba Garba Gaya, who will serve as Special Adviser on Agriculture, focusing on crop production and extension services. Dr. Tukur Dayyabu Minjibir, previously announced as the Special Adviser on Agricultural Mechanization, has been appointed as Special Adviser on General Agricultural Inputs. Yusuf Ibrahim Sharada, who has been promoted from his previous role as SSA on ICT, will now serve as Special Adviser on Digital Economy. Aminu Salihu Kunchi has been appointed as Special Adviser on Private and Voluntary Schools.

Other appointments include CP Kabiru Gwarzo, a retired police commissioner, who will serve as Special Adviser on Special Assignments I, and Kabiru Getso Haruna, the immediate past Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board, who has been appointed as Special Adviser on Employment. Hajiya Bilkisu Yakubu Indabo will oversee Enlightenment and Social Mobilisation, while Tijjani Hussaini Gandu, previously SSA Mawallafa, has been promoted to Special Adviser on Culture and Entertainments. Engr. Ibrahim Ibrahim Sisi will advise the governor on Infrastructure, and SP Bala Shehu Muhammad, a retired police officer, will serve as Special Adviser on Special Services at the Government House. Rounding out the list is Sale Musa Sa’ad, who has been appointed as Special Adviser on Corporate Social Responsibility.

These appointments, according to the statement, underscore the government’s commitment to delivering tangible results and ensuring effective governance in Kano State. By bringing together a team of experts from various fields, Governor Abba Yusuf aims to drive progress and improvement in key areas, ultimately benefiting the people of Kano State.
