Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has received high praise for his efforts in restoring stability and hope to the nation. Former Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, recently expressed his support for Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, citing his commitment to taking responsibility for the country’s progress.
Okowa made these remarks at a national summit organized by the Integrity Group of Nigeria (IGN) in Abuja, where he described Tinubu as an “action president” who has accepted responsibility for the nation’s challenges. According to Okowa, Tinubu’s decisions, though tough, have yielded positive results, bringing stability and hope to Nigeria.
“Tinubu is taking the bull by the horn, not referring to issues in the past or how the past was governed,” Okowa stated, emphasizing that the president has demonstrated a clear commitment to progress. “He promised Nigeria that he would come to the saddle and take responsibility. That is what he has done.”
Okowa urged support groups to begin groundwork for Tinubu’s re-election, emphasizing that the president deserves their backing. Other notable figures at the summit, including IGN Convener and National Chairman Dr. Oke Idawene, Senator Binta Garba, and Former Minister of Women Affairs Pauline Tallen, echoed Okowa’s sentiments.
Dr. Idawene emphasized that Tinubu came to power prepared and has been working tirelessly to ensure Nigeria’s prosperity. Senator Garba noted that Tinubu has successfully turned things around for the country, while Mrs. Tallen called on Nigerians to pray for and support the president in his endeavors.
The summit’s theme, “Renew Hope Agenda through Continuity,” resonated with attendees, who expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future under Tinubu’s leadership. With the All Progressives Congress (APC) recent victories in by-elections and Nigerian girls winning laurels in sports, many see signs of progress and hope for a better future.
As Nigeria looks towards the 2027 elections, it is clear that President Tinubu has garnered significant support for his re-election bid. With his commitment to progress and stability, many Nigerians believe that continuity under his leadership will indeed make their country a better place.
