Ghislaine Maxwell Casts Doubt on Epstein’s Official Cause of Death
In a stunning revelation, Ghislaine Maxwell, the former confidante of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has expressed her doubts about the official cause of his death. In an interview with US investigators from the Department of Justice, Maxwell stated that she does not believe Epstein committed suicide behind bars.
The transcript, released on Friday, reveals Maxwell’s candid remarks during the interview, which took place last month due to renewed interest in the case. When questioned about Epstein’s death, Maxwell explicitly stated, “I do not believe he died by suicide, no.” She further dismissed the idea that an outside party might have orchestrated a “hit” on Epstein, suggesting instead that if it was murder, it was likely an “internal situation.”

She responded, “I do not have any reason to believe that. And I also think it’s ludicrous.” Maxwell also emphasized that if someone had wanted to silence Epstein, they would have had ample opportunities to do so before he was incarcerated.
In addition, Maxwell denied that Epstein engaged in blackmail or maintained a “client list” linked to sex trafficking. These denials come amidst allegations from Democrats and some conservative figures that President Donald Trump may have been involved in a cover-up related to the “Epstein list,” which the FBI and DOJ have denied exists. Trump, who claims to have ended his friendship with Epstein long before his 2008 conviction, has characterized the accusations as a Democrat-led discreditation campaign.
