Nigerian Government Earns Praise for Infrastructural Development in Abuja

The APC-led government in Abuja has received commendation for its significant efforts in infrastructural development, particularly in water supply and sewage system upgrades. Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, recently lauded the government’s initiatives, highlighting the positive impact on residents.

In a video on X, Fayose acknowledged the ongoing work in Bwari, where the federal government is laying a 198-kilometre water pipeline to enhance access to clean water for residents. He expressed admiration for Minister Wike’s efforts, stating, “Bwari people have been waiting for water for years, and now Minister Wike is delivering.”

The pipeline project is part of a broader initiative to upgrade Abuja’s infrastructure. Fayose noted that the APC government has made significant strides in transforming the city, with major projects taking shape. He praised the government’s efforts, saying, “Let’s be honest, the APC government has changed Abuja.”

Fayose also highlighted the overhaul of the sewage system, which is expected to improve the overall quality of life for residents. He compared Abuja’s development to that of a foreign city, stating, “Abuja is beginning to look like a foreign city.” The upgrade is particularly notable given the challenges faced by other cities, such as Lagos, where access to clean water is limited due to the ocean.

The praise for the government’s efforts comes as a testament to the impact of its initiatives on the lives of Abuja residents. As Fayose concluded, “You can’t get this kind of water in Lagos because of the ocean, but come on give it to Wike. Well done.”

The infrastructural development in Abuja reflects the government’s commitment to improving the lives of its citizens. With ongoing projects aimed at enhancing access to basic necessities like clean water and sanitation, the city is poised to become a model for urban development in Nigeria.
