Madagascar secured its spot in the finals after defeating Sudan 1-0 in the semi-finals at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday. Coach Rakotondrabe attributed the team’s success to their unity and perseverance, stating, “Our strength lies in unity. Today, the players kept believing until the very end, and this victory belongs to them and to Madagascar.”

The Malagasy government has announced plans to support the team’s fans by covering half of their travel expenses to Nairobi, where the final match will take place. This move is expected to ensure a strong show of support for the team, known as “The Bareas,” as they face off against the pre-tournament favorites, Morocco.

Morocco defeated the title holders from Senegal in a penalty shootout on Wednesday, winning 5-3 after a tense 1-1 draw in overtime. The Atlas Lions are expected to be the favorites in the final match, which will kick off at 6 PM on Saturday at the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi.
