APC Slams Tambuwal Over Opposition Claims

You're problem of opposition - APC slams Tambuwal

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to accusations made by former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, regarding the party’s alleged attempts to destabilize the opposition. In a statement released by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party dismissed Tambuwal’s claims, stating that President Bola Tinubu and the APC are focused on governance and do not have time to interfere with opposition parties.

Tambuwal had previously alleged that the APC and President Tinubu were plotting to undermine opposition parties ahead of the 2027 elections. However, Morka countered that Tambuwal and other opposition leaders have failed to provide evidence to support their claims, instead engaging in what he described as political blackmail and an obsession with power.

According to Morka, opposition leaders such as Tambuwal, Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi have been unable to provide effective leadership for their parties, which are reportedly rudderless and weakened by internal contradictions. Morka stated that these leaders have resorted to making baseless predictions about the 2027 elections, which he believes will ultimately lead to their defeat at the polls.

The APC’s response comes amid ongoing tensions between the ruling party and opposition groups in Nigeria. The 2027 elections are expected to be highly contested, with various parties and candidates already beginning to position themselves for the upcoming polls. As the political landscape continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how the APC and opposition parties will navigate the challenges ahead.

The APC’s denial of any attempts to destabilize the opposition highlights the ongoing power struggles within Nigeria’s political sphere. With the 2027 elections looming, the party’s focus on governance and leadership will likely be subject to increased scrutiny. As the country prepares for the upcoming polls, the actions and statements of key political figures will be closely watched by Nigerians and the international community alike.
