The 2025 Southern Summit of former legislators commenced on Saturday in Ogun State, Nigeria, with a gathering of notable figures from the country’s political landscape. The event, themed ‘National Unity: Bedrock of Nation Building’, is being held at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Kuto, Abeokuta, and has drawn attendance from prominent individuals such as Olufemi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, as well as ex-Senate President Ken Nnamani and Yakubu Dogara.

Other attendees include former Speaker Patricia Olubunmi Etteh, National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress Senator Ajibola Bashiru, and former Senate Leader Victor Ndoma Egba.
