A young woman and a man discovered him in distress on the roadside, promptly contacted his family, and ensured his safety.
In a recent statement, Mbadiwe reassured the public that he is currently recuperating and regaining his strength. He explained that his ordeal involved the ingestion of harmful substances that left him incapacitated, and that the substance was introduced to his system by person(s) unknown to him. He expressed deep gratitude to Nigerians for their overwhelming concern and support during the period of uncertainty, and he thanked the Nigeria police and other security agencies for their role in ensuring his safety.
Mbadiwe shared updates on his health via his Instagram page, stating that he is drawing important lessons from the experience. He highlighted the importance of public support and the role of good samaritans in times of crisis, noting that the young woman and man who helped him were instrumental in his rescue. As he continues to recover, he has vowed to move forward stronger, and his family and friends have expressed relief at his safe return.
