BREAKING: Air Peace shuts flight operations nationwide

Air Peace, a leading Nigerian airline, announced that several flights will be delayed on Monday morning due to a heavy downpour in Lagos. The adverse weather has disrupted operations, prompting the airline to issue a statement through spokesperson Osifo‑Whiskey Efe. He asked passengers to remain patient while the company works to minimize the impact across its route network.

The airline emphasized that, although the rainfall has caused flight delays, passenger safety remains its top priority. “Weather‑related issues are beyond our control, but we want to assure our passengers that their safety is our foremost concern,” the statement read. Air Peace reaffirmed its commitment to the highest safety standards for both passengers and crew and is diligently managing the situation to ensure everyone reaches their destinations safely.

The delays are expected to affect several flights, and Air Peace apologized for any inconvenience. The airline assured passengers that it is doing everything possible to reduce disruption and return flights to schedule as soon as possible. This is not the first instance of weather‑related disruptions in Nigeria’s aviation sector, underscoring the need for robust contingency plans.

Air Peace’s decision to delay flights highlights the importance of prioritizing safety in aviation. The airline will continue to provide updates as the situation develops and remains dedicated to delivering safe and convenient travel for its customers.
