Cholera outbreak prompts Bauchi State emergency response committee

The Bauchi State Government has established a Cholera Steering and Technical Committee to oversee emergency response efforts and develop long-term solutions to the recent Cholera outbreak that has resulted in several fatalities in the state.

At the committee’s inauguration in Bauchi, Deputy Governor Auwal Jatau emphasized the severity of the public health threat posed by Cholera, stressing the need for prompt attention. The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Sani Dambam, who chairs the technical committee, reiterated the members’ collective commitment to working together to achieve their mandate.
