Author and right-wing political commentator Frank Turek has shared a firsthand account of the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, at Utah Valley University. According to Turek, who was an eyewitness to the incident, Kirk was shot in the neck on September 10 during a debate event and died shortly after.

Turek, who had previously collaborated with Kirk, described the chaotic scene that unfolded after the shooting. He stated that he was with Kirk in the car on the way to the hospital and attempted to administer CPR. However, despite these efforts, Kirk was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital due to the catastrophic nature of the wound.

In his podcast, Turek addressed internet conspiracy theories surrounding the shooting, which suggested that a person standing next to Kirk, wearing a white hat, had been signaling to the shooter. Turek revealed that he was the individual in question and explained that he was on a video call with his family at the time of the shooting. He dismissed the conspiracy theories, noting that the sniper would not have needed signals to carry out the attack.

Turek also discussed the swift response of medical personnel, who managed to restore Kirk’s pulse temporarily. However, the surgeon ultimately confirmed that the wound was fatal, and Kirk was declared dead. Turek expressed his grief and shock at the events, describing the experience as “gut-wrenching.”

The incident has sparked an outpouring of tributes and condolences for Kirk, with a memorial service scheduled for September 21 in Phoenix, Arizona. Turek invited listeners to attend the service to honor Kirk’s memory and legacy. As the investigation into the shooting continues, Turek’s eyewitness account provides a poignant and factual insight into the events surrounding Kirk’s tragic death.
