Fubara Second Term Possible With God’s Help

Wike: Fubara can still have second term as Rivers gov - Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has stated that reinstated Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, can still secure a second term in office. This assertion comes amid speculation that Fubara may not be allowed to pursue re-election due to the crisis with his predecessor.

According to Primate Ayodele, Fubara’s path to a second term hinges on seeking divine guidance and maintaining loyalty to Nyesom Wike, his principal. This loyalty would involve ceding the deputy governor position to the state assembly speaker, with Fubara’s chosen deputy serving in a figurehead capacity.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele cautioned that Rivers State will not experience complete peace due to Fubara’s indecisiveness, which may lead to anger among his allies. Furthermore, he suggested that the conflict between Wike and Fubara is not yet resolved, with Fubara potentially being used to check Wike’s political influence.

Primate Ayodele also commended President Tinubu for intervening in the state’s crisis, thereby preventing calamity and bloodshed. The declaration of a state of emergency, according to Primate Ayodele, has served as a cautionary measure, preventing further escalation of violence in the state.

The situation in Rivers State remains complex, with underlying tensions between key political figures. As the state navigates this challenging period, the actions of Governor Fubara and his relationship with Nyesom Wike will be closely monitored. The potential for further conflict and the implications for the state’s stability and governance will be important to watch in the coming months.
