The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the membership list of various sub-committees for its 2025 Elective National Convention. Scheduled to take place on November 15-16 in Ibadan, Oyo State, the convention aims to elect new national officers of the party.

According to a statement released by the party, the National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) has formally unveiled the list of members appointed to serve on several sub-committees. The committees cover key areas such as accreditation, security, electoral matters, logistics, and welfare. Over 100 party members have been appointed across these categories, including prominent figures, governors, former governors, senators, and other stalwarts.

The sub-committees are chaired by various party leaders, with Governor Ademola Adeleke heading the Accommodation Committee and Governor Dauda Lawal leading the Accreditation Committee. Other notable appointments include Governor Douye Diri as Chairman of the Contact and Mobilisation Committee, and former Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel as leader of the Constitutional Amendment Committee.

The Electoral Committee is chaired by NCOC Chairman Umaru Fintiri, with Governor Ademola Adeleke serving as Deputy Chairman. Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan heads the Entertainment and Welfare Committee, while former Senate President Bukola Saraki chairs the Medical Committee.

The PDP has also appointed committees to oversee monitoring and evaluation, protocol, publicity, security, transportation, and venue arrangements. These committees will play crucial roles in ensuring the success of the convention.

The 2025 Elective National Convention is a significant event for the PDP, as it will usher in new leadership and set the party’s direction for the future. With the sub-committees in place, the party is gearing up for a hitch-free convention that will showcase its commitment to democracy and good governance.

The announcement of the sub-committees marks an important milestone in the party’s preparations for the convention. As the PDP looks to the future, its ability to conduct a successful and transparent convention will be closely watched by party members, political observers, and the general public.
