Tiwa Savage reveals three year celibacy

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage has disclosed that she has been practicing celibacy for the past three years. In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Savage attributed her decision to her single status since her last relationship ended. According to her, she only feels the urge for intimacy when she is in love.

Savage emphasized that she is not enthusiastic about casual sex, stating that she needs to be in a romantic relationship to consider it. She also revealed that she does not own sex toys, jokingly suggesting that they could be a suitable Christmas gift.

This revelation comes after Tiwa Savage recently spoke out about her past experience in a toxic relationship with a Nigerian public figure. She described the relationship as “disrespectful” and acknowledged that her partner took advantage of the secrecy surrounding their relationship to cheat on her. After tolerating the infidelity for a period, Savage ultimately decided to end the relationship.

Tiwa Savage’s decision to practice celibacy reflects her commitment to self-respect and her desire for meaningful relationships. Her experience in the toxic relationship has likely influenced her approach to intimacy, emphasizing the importance of emotional connection and mutual respect.

As a prominent figure in the African music industry, Tiwa Savage’s candid discussion of her personal life may resonate with her fans and inspire others to prioritize their own emotional and physical well-being. By sharing her story, Savage contributes to a broader conversation about healthy relationships, consent, and self-love.
