The Plateau State Government has announced the closure of several roads in the Jos and Bukuru metropolises to facilitate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit on Saturday, 4 October 2025. State Commissioner for Information Joyce Ramnap explained that the closures are intended to ensure smooth and secure movement of the presidential entourage during the burial of Nana Lydia Yilwada, mother of Prof. Nentawe Yilwada, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
The affected routes will be closed from 7 a.m. on Saturday and include Mararaban Jama’a through Bukuru Expressway, Dadin‑Kowa, Old Airport to Plateau Hospital roundabout, and Hillstation roundabout to the COCIN Headquarters/Central Bank road. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
The burial of Nana Lydia Yilwada is a significant event, and President Tinubu’s presence underscores its importance. Prof. Nentawe Yilwada is a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, and his mother’s passing has drawn condolences from various quarters.
