Nasarawa PDP leadership extends olive branch to Onawo group after Appeal Court victory

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has taken disciplinary action against its State Secretary, Sa’idu Adamu, suspending him over allegations of gross misconduct and anti-party activities. This decision was made by the State Working Committee and ratified by the State Executive Committee during a meeting at the party’s secretariat in Kaduna.

According to a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Maria Dogo, the suspension is effective immediately and will last for one month, pending the outcome of investigations and subsequent decisions by the party. During this period, Adamu is barred from participating in any party activities at all levels.

The PDP stated that this action is in line with the provisions of Articles 58(1)(h) and 57(3) of the party’s constitution, as amended in 2017. The party’s leadership, under the chairmanship of Edward Masha, is committed to upholding internal discipline, fairness, and justice within the organization.

The State Working Committee’s efforts are focused on strengthening the party’s structures and ensuring accountability across all ranks. The PDP has assured its members and the general public that it remains committed to these principles.

The suspension of a high-ranking official like Adamu highlights the party’s resolve to address internal issues and maintain a strong, disciplined organization. As the PDP continues to navigate the complexities of Nigerian politics, its ability to manage internal conflicts and adhere to its constitution will be closely watched.

The party’s next steps will depend on the outcome of the investigations into Adamu’s alleged misconduct. The PDP’s commitment to fairness and justice will be tested as it navigates this challenging situation. With the suspension in place, the party will likely focus on rebuilding trust and reinforcing its internal structures to ensure a stronger, more united front moving forward.
